关于三舅中煞的事(详见《三舅的诡异经历 》)，其实还并没有了结。张婆婆警告说，最好是佩戴一个护身符，免得以后再碰到这种。但三舅虽不再讥之为“封建迷信”，却也并不愿意戴什么符。
说到护身符，真是很有讲究。首先必须选择红纸，取镇邪之意；其次，形状大抵都是一尺长两寸宽（原因未知）；再次，画符必以毛笔作工具；画完之后须以雄鸡血（一般在鸡冠上取）在符顶端点上七点，最后在符上放七粒米，将符折为三角形状，如此方能生效。那些在旅游区商店随处贩卖的所谓护身符者，印一个金光灿灿的菩萨或是皇帝头像，看起来豪华则够豪华矣，实际并不顶用。
阴阳师的二徒弟曾说，凡佩此护身符，鬼魅之类必近不得身。我对这话是深信不疑，因为我家一个邻居的死就是证据。
这个邻居享年90岁，也算得上寿终正寝，不过我总疑心她是伤心过度而死的。她儿子先她而去，她在知道噩耗之后不到一个月也就辞世了。
她死前并未受什么病痛折磨，只是到了临终之际，已经昏迷，人事不省，最后那一口气却怎么都吐不出来，就这样延续了三天不见任何变化。后来阴阳师的二徒弟忽然醒悟，问老太的家属，是否家中有护身符，所以虽然阳寿已尽，但无常却近不得身，拿不了魂，所以始终不咽气。老太的儿媳想了一阵，说确有此事，老太的枕头下常年放着一个阴阳师画的护身符！
于是二徒弟从枕头下拿了护身符走出门外，老太立马咽下了那最后一口气，去了。可见那护身符确实效用非凡。
再回头讲讲老太儿子的死。他与阴阳师的二徒弟是亲戚，所以二徒弟经常来他家走动，顺便也来我家闲聊几句，横竖两家只隔一道墙。
01年7月初，我正在家里休暑假，二徒弟来我家，正巧老太的儿子（当时有些发胖）从我家门前经过，却也并没进来聊，只是笑着打了声招呼。

于是赶紧去邻居家，千叮咛万嘱咐，叫那中年汉子和他老婆，每天早晚给家里的观音塑像上三支香，逢初一十五，于午夜12点前后，在门外空地烧红布三尺并对天磕头，坚持到一年之后即可。中年汉子问：那我出门在外的时候又怎么办？答说无妨，只要有一个人在家里敬神就可以了，并不非要你自己来烧香拜佛。
中年汉子自然照做无疑。到了02年初，春节过后不久，他去了旁边一个城市某商场建筑工地做零工。不到三个月，便从五楼的脚手架上摔下来，当场死亡。时间正是6月中旬。一年。
他老婆哭得眼睛都肿了。阴阳师的二徒弟知道之后很是不解，说明明阳寿未尽，可以保平安的，怎么还是应了“剩一年时间”的预言？后来追问之下，中年汉子的老婆才承认说，她本就不信鬼神，丈夫一出门，她自然不肯拜佛。非但如此，一个多月之后居然还把家里的观音塑像送给别人了！
二徒弟听完只是不住地叹气，说看来天意如此，阴差阳错地就让事情发生了，实在是人算不如天算。既然人已经去了，嫂子就节哀顺变吧……等等安慰人的套话，不必细表。
但是有些话，她却并未告诉中年汉子的老婆，是后来她告诉我妈的：这中年汉子，阳寿本不是如此的短，现在这样等于是做了枉死鬼，所以怨气极重，必不肯轻易罢休。以后我们这一带，一定还有中年男人要横遭暴死。
我妈听得一惊，忙问知不知道是哪一家的人？她说：“若你知道了，一定会想办法去搬我师傅下山救人。但这是属于冤魂索命，干涉不得，不然惹祸上身。这事跟你们家半点关系都没，我还是不告诉你了……”
往后的日子，大家马照跑，舞照跳，并无任何异常。直到有一天??准确的说，是03年初，春节前几天的一个下午……
我二姨（我表弟的妈）在离家门几米远的地方和我外婆说话。我跟我表弟当时并不在家，出去上网了。二姨说话的空当一转头，赫然看见我表弟踏进家门的身影，但穿的是不同的衣服。二姨吃了一惊，知道有问题，因为儿子有些什么衣服，她作为母亲，可说是了如指掌。刚才她见儿子进屋去，穿的分明是一套她从未见过的衣服；待她满心疑惑地走进屋子里去看，哪有儿子在家？

“好！那你们多烧些钱纸给我！我拿了钱就走！”
“不行，你马上走，我们今天晚上一定烧给你。”二姨说。
“就是就是，一点纸钱嘛，没人骗你的。”邻居插话道。
“也好。反正我不怕你耍赖。”
“那你要找谁到下面去陪你？”我妈继续问。看来她还是想知道这个谜底。
